STORYTELLER FOR HIRE!

Remember when you were a kid and you’d hide under the covers from the big scary monster in the shadows? With hindsight I blame my parents for letting me watch Edward Scissorhands late at night.

Stories tap into our most primal urges.

When told passionately and skilfully, tales have the power to create profound emotional and physiological responses.

Research by neuroeconomist Paul Zak shows that during storytelling moments of tension encourage cortisol production, upping our concentration levels, while feel good endings are accompanied by the release of the happy hormone dopamine.

Apply these principles to your business, and there’s no limit on where stories can take you. Telling your brand tale intensely and honestly will increase customer engagement and help create a loyal following. Creating a buzz around your products or producers by exploring their unique personal stories differentiates you from the pack.

Getting emotional may not be so acceptable in the real world (especially if you’re British), but do it right online and you’ll keep customers coming back for more.

This is where I come in. Need an exceptionally talented writer to increase your sales and tickle your customers’ mental tastebuds? That would be me! I specialise in writing, whether it be blogs, articles or copy, that helps you grow and communicate authentically with your audience.

Sound good? Drop me an email (alice@wineculturist.net) and let’s start telling your story.

MY WRITING

I hold the WSET Level 3 wine certificate and also work as a sommelier, so I adore writing about all things wine, food and travel. Some of my favourite projects include:

+The Huffington Post contribution exploring the meteoric rise of English sparkling wine – “Why English Bubbly is the New Champagne”.

+The Argentina Independent article telling the story of Gabriel, creator of a delicious Andean flower nectar wine – “Blumbeÿ: Argentina’s First Flower Powered Wine”.

+The Wine Culturist – my personal wine blog tracking my wandering sommelier adventures across South America and Europe. My top picks include “A Wine Lover’s Guide to Carmelo, Uruguay: Part 1 – Tranquility, Humility and Luxury” and “One Forgets Everything With Champagne: Buenos Aires’ Best Wine Fairs”.

+Anuva Wines – compelling copy for a new website of this Buenos-Aires based wine tasting business (to be launched very soon!) and regular blog posts like the popular “Where to find the Best Ice Cream in Buenos Aires”.

I currently offer the following services:

  • Copywriting for wine-related websites
  • Blog posts on wine, food and travel
  • Long-form articles
  • Social Media marketing and management
  • Ghost-writing
